A complete family planning service is provided at Redgate, available during all consulting hours.
A special appointment is not necessary but if you would rather see a lady doctor or nurse this is perfectly in order, you only have to ask.
The whole range of family planning methods are available at Redgate, and indeed these are available to you whether or not you are a patient at Redgate.
The Practice Nurse, Sue Johnstone, looks after the diabetic patients within the practice. At Redgate Medical Centre it has proved unrealistic to provide a diabetic clinic, and she therefore sees the patients opportunistically throughout her surgery hours.

This is undertaken by Dr Richard Evans and Dr Syed Akhter. Procedures undertaken include vasectomy, in-growing toenails and removal of skin lesions. Redgate Medical Centre is approved for extended minor surgery and referrals can be taken from other surgeries.
We provide a fully comprehensive cervical smear service. Ladies are able to come to the surgery at their convenience.
The Child Health Clinics are held every Wednesday between 1.30 pm and 3.00 pm. All babies and children of pre-school age are welcome.
Parents to be groups are held at Redgate Medical Centre and are run jointly between the Midwives and the Health Visitors. Attendance is usually from the 28th week of pregnancy and includes input from Physiotherapists, and Positive Parenting Facilitators. Please ask your Midwife for further information.
The clinic is held once a month at Redgate and is run by Dr Franzen. See your doctor for details.

The flu clinics are held annually. Details will be advertised in the local press. The flu vaccine is avilable to patients aged 65 and over, plus patients who suffer from a heart condition, diabetes, asthma, or are a carer.
The clinic is run by Sister Sue Johnstone and is held on Tuesday 5.00 pm - 6.00 pm.
